The Mountain Festival presents an international film festival showcasing a diverse approach to living and interacting with mountains around the world. The four-day Mountain Film Festival will be held from Thursday 13 March until Sunday 16 March 2008 and will include evening and matinee sessions.
A unique film training initiative from the film makers that, over the last four months, have been planning, marketing, writing, shooting and editing short films on the theme of
Tasmanian Gothic.
As part of the
Mountain Film Festival, two forums will be held to screen the films and to discuss the project directions as well as general issues related to film marketing and distribution.

This is storytelling and music at its very best linking Charles Darwin and Tasmanian Aboriginal culture. An intrepid group of storytellers and musicians, playing reggae guitar and bass, charango, violin, skins, stones and water, weave their way through songs and tales on a quest for the one story that unites us all.
